Today i am installing again completely new Liberkey Ultimate on Kingston 32GbUSB stick. I will make a copy of technical Information. Than when Liberkey menu will be lost I make also copy of technical Information and send both to you on the forum...

Send us only once, sending us after problem occurs will be useless, you can send us those technical informations before it occurs.

Sorry for the inconvenience ..
I try to understand what is happening, but it is not easy because we were not able to reproduce this problem.
In an attempt to see things more clearly, I propose the following operation to perform on your LiberKey :

1) Close the LiberKey menu
2) open the file [your_liberkey_folder]\LiberKeyTools\LiberKeyMenu\data\user_prefs.xml
3) locate this line :

Code: Select all

<LogToFile level="Error">no</LogToFile>

4) replace with :

Code: Select all

<LogToFile level="Info">yes</LogToFile>

5) restart your LiberKey Menu

The next time the problem occurs, please send us your logs.
You can do this from the same place where you found the technical information (LiberKey Tools >> Configuration >> Technical information) by clicking the "send" button instead of "copy this information.."

I hope this will helps us to fix this !

Note that once this operation is done, the menu will keep traces of internal operations and the log files will grow significantly.. So when your logs have been sent, you can go back to your user_prefs.xml file and restore the LogToFile entry to "no"

Happening to me too, Windows Vista x64, 4GB Ram, installed on C: drive. I found what appears to be old backups of the menu ("C:\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\LiberKeyMenu\data\Menu\bak\default_2011-11-05_19-57-42.xml") which I supposed I could copy and paste over something, as this predates the disappearance of the menu, but this would not tell me what caused the problem.

Updates also failed to restore menu.

I tried the fix proposed on another feed, which was to go to C:\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\LiberKeyMenu\data\user_prefs.xml and replace the <LogToFile level="Error">no</LogToFile> with <LogToFile level="Info">yes</LogToFile> line, but it did nothing.
