Installing new appsHello all, i've just installed LiberKey (Basic) and now want to add more apps.
the problem is, that i cant manage to get it working. There might be a answer out there but i cant speak french at all. I have enabled 'File associates' to install apps off the site, and it goes through the process and looks like its working, but when the download completes and the program restarts itself, it hasn't done anything (No new prog)? I have also unchecked the 'Install apps without....(Automatic mode)' to see if that would help at all.. It completes, and give a warning it has to close LiberKey to update apps..Click OK..'Invalid installation package' I have Downloaded the other file (.lks) and tried dragging it over the [LiberKeyLiberKeyToolsInstallerLkInst.exe] ,to auto launch the installer from there, but i get an error; 'Invalid installer package' any suggestions? --Firefox: v3.5.3 --XP Professional: Service pack2
Re:Installing new appsHi and welcome DrJackal
Is there any folder of application installed in the Apps folder ?
Since the publication of LiberKey 4.5, news patches have been published. Did you check LiberKey updates in LiberKeyTools category ?
Re:Installing new appsHi Skybird,
{Is there any folder of application installed in the Apps folder ?} There is an app folder, and there are plenty of apps inside, all the apps that are included in the 'LiberKey Basic' suit. If you meant if the program I'm trying to install is in there after a install, it isn't..? {Since the publication of LiberKey 4.5, news patches have been published. Have you check LiberKey updates in LiberKeyTools category ?} When i first started the liberkey, it asked to to do a patch update, was 1.4mb if i remember right. The only other updates are the files i already have installed. I have tried to update them aswell, but after it does the download and restarts Libekey, it doesn't seem to change anything, it even tries to do the exact same updates again. Thanks for the reply,
Re:Installing new appsHi DrJackal,
Could you give me the release of : \LiberKeyTools\LiberKeyPortabilizer\LiberKeyPortabilizer.exe \LiberKeyTools\LKAppsVCheck\lkAppsVCheck.exe Right-click -> Properties -> details What is your langage setting for the operating system ? Have you got admin right on the operating system ? What is your antivirus name and version ? (try again with it disable) Thanks for the reply,
Re:Installing new appsHi Opendev,
the release of ..LiberKeyPortabilizer.exe = (2.0.0.125) the release of ..Check.exe = (1.3.0.143) My OS Language is English.. Not 100% sure, but yes i have full admin rights to this computer. I have tried everything discussed here on my personal computer with the same results. My company uses AVG network edition anti-virus (v_8.5.423), which cant be disabled by me. My personal computer uses AVG stand alone anti-virus (v_?.?.???), I'm going to have to get back to you later today with its version, and trying a disabled anti-virus. Thanks.
Re:Installing new appsHi, Sorry about the Delayed reply,
My AVG version at home is v_8.5.423 I have quite my AVG completely and tried again to do any sort of app install, which still isn't working. Is there a way to get the Liberkey install, without any apps at all, so just the program, id like to try and do an install without any apps on the menu. maybe its my program..
