Win XP 32 bit and Win7 64 bit

Messagede matjack » 15 Octobre 2010, 22:52

I have a problem with the LiberKey with win XP 32 bit and Win7 64 bit.
I prepare the software under Win XP 32 bit and put it in a USB key; then move the usb key under win7 64bit, and use the key without problems.
When I put it back on win XP 32bit, the menu of Liberkey does not show any link to the installed programs, and start the installation package for install new software package.

If i restore le last backup *.xml configuration, the liberkey back to work well as before

Hello.

I'm working too between Seven 64 bits and XP SP3 32 bits without these problem.

Have-you configured your liberkey with checking these options ?
When the menu closes, close the portable application and When the menu closes, disconnect the removable device. You can find them in Liberkey Tools => Liberkey cConfiguration => Liberkey Tools .

If you're using another method, do you close your liberkey by the menu Liberkey Tools => Disconnect your Liberkey or are you simply close the liberkey, then are you using the window's menu for remove your key ?

OK,
I have done many tests and came to a conclusion

1- The option "When the menu closes, close the portable application" is only for program open from the key. generally you must enable, for the proper closure of a program

2- If you use the same Key with Win XP and Win 7, you must enable the option "When the menu closes, disconnect the removable device", otherwise you will lose the menu setting

3- if you use the key only in Win XP or only in WIn 7, the option "When the menu closes, disconnect the removable device" may be disable and after close the menu you can disconect the key with the windows utility

bye
