All apps are in English! Why not in Portuguese or German, if avaliable? I think it would be cool if I can select what languages I want as default when selecting Liberkey language when I first use it. Cooler would be if it can be done everytime...

Well, I think all possible apps. But mainly Firefox and LibreOffice because its "preconfigured" grammar correction...

Let me explain something, and this is in no way condescending.

The way programs work is defined entirely by the programmer, and the programmer may only have intended the program for use by one particular language group, so the program may end up with hard-coded strings and text in a specific language, which would be hard to translate without rewriting the core of the program.

Also, many programmers don't know several different languages. It's hard enough for them to learn one programming language without having to learn more than one actual language. So while they may want to learn another language or provide translation services for their application, they can't because they may not know them or be able to learn them to provide an effective translation.

And so the dilemma - programmers simply don't have the knowledge to add translations to their program or the ability to provide said translations. If you have an app you like, but would like to see in a different language, why not contact the author and provide your services in terms of translations? I know I did. ;)

In addition to BlueMaxima answer, for Firefox, this is commonly performed by a dictionary addon, install your language spell checking:

I know about that.

I'm trying to suggest something like when installing an app from catalogue, a user can choose the language of that app or LiberKey can suggest the language choosen in its settings (e.g. in catalogue there will be Firefox, Firefox (Portuguese), Firefox (German)...)...

But ok...

Sorry, only now, when I find that issue (http://www.liberkey.com/forums/support- ... =en#p31595) I can see that when doing manual installation, when selecting the third tab on LiberKey Inst pop-up launched, we can select installer language (well, I'm not sure yet - I'll try that).

Liberkey automatically install the Thunderbird/Firefox (maybe OpenOffice and LibreOffice, but I'm not sure) into the language from previously installed application language or with Liberkey language setting

So if you already have a Firefox release, it will update with the same language as previously, else it will install the application with the language from Liberkey settings.

And you're right, if you do it manually by double-clicking on .lks file but this works only for the applications mentionned above.

Moreover, this is only available for the application language, it not works for dictionnaries, of course.
