thanx for your efforts on this software package, it is just what i've been looking for.

However, I'm still having problems running the software. I thought the more information you guys have, the better.

So here it is;

Liberkey ultimate 4.4
"Installed" on C:liberkey and also USB Drive G:Liberkey, both have the same problems
Windows XP SP2 rev 2600, fully updated.
Region: Poland
Language for Non-Unicode programs: English [US]
I downloaded and replaced the files you recommended.
I cannot however change the region due to other users of this computer [thats why i need a decent portable suite]

My current problems;

Liberkey starts up well, no more start up error messages after replacing those files.
But when i try to run a program from Asuite or using "*LKL.exe" i get the error message "fichier de configuration invalide".

I'm new on forum, but am using LiberKey for a few months. Great work done and works perfectly. ... until last update to version 4.4.

I have same problem as described above. I can run LiberKeyPortabilizer.exe. And also ASuite lunches without any error. But if I try to run any tool from ASuite or from directory directly I get an error. Error message is same, no mather from where I run it ... and it says "Ficheir de configuration invalide !".

OS is XP SP2, language EN, regional settings Croatia.

I also had the same problem: "Fichier de Configuration invalide" showing up when trying to launch any application from the LiberKey software. I have an XP SP2, Hungarian version, Hungarian regional settings.

On my computer, changing the non-Unicode compatible language on the Advanced options tab did not help. So I changed it back to Hungarian.

Then I experimented a little bit and found the solution: Regional and language options --> Regional settings tab --> Standards and formats --> changed this to English (UK).

This did the trick. Looks like the software could not work with the Hungarian time format, dates, etc.

Now my LiberKey works flawlessly. Despite this installation problem, this is a great software collection. A big thanks to the developers!

I need to modify my post above. Changing the non-Unicode compatible language on the Advanced options tab is also necessary.

If I keep it on Hungarian, the auto software update does not work. In fact I could not install any new software on the LiberKey. Various error messaged popped up, like the "Installation file is corrupted" or "This version of the installer is not compatible with the installation file". Another symptom was that I could not save my password in the configurator, even if I entered it correctly.

When changing the non-Unicode compatible language setting to English (UK), all these error messages were gone, the password saved correctly and the software update started to work fine.

Dear developers, can you try to solve this with a patch?

All is due to the non-Unicode support.
As you can see here, we are currently testing a patch.

How to apply the patch ?

- download the file lbk_20090711004024_EN enclosed in this message
- launch the LiberKey (see NOTA below)
- execute lbk_20090711004024_EN (the patch will find automatically your LiberKey)
- follow instructions provide by the patch

NOTA : If you can't launch LiberKey (error message), execute lbk_20090711004024_EN and the patch will allow you to select LiberKey path manually.

Please find enclosed all files from the patch but in a zip archive.

Can you extract all files from the archive in the LiberKeyTools directory (accept ovewrite).

What is the result ?

[edit] A more recent file exists. To update your key please use the fonction "Check new Liberkey release" (Liberkey tools => Check new Liberkey release) in Asuite menu. JP4U [/edit]

After I copied the files from the ZIP archive I am able to successfully launch the LiberKey applications. I haven't tested many of them so far, but the problem seems to be fixed. I will test this with my other LiberKey installations tomorrow. Thanks!
