Pidgin & Language

Hi!
Pidgin auto-detect the users Language and uses this language as the default.

Personally i dont want pidgin language to be Greek (in my case)

So i have to go

"Apps\Pidgin\App\Pidgin\Pidgin\locale"

and delete the "El" folder (El=Greek)
so the next time i open pidgin the default lang with be back to English!

Now ... i have to redo these steps anytime i update pidgin with Liberkey

is there any other way to set pidgins language ?
or liberkey should exclude the "locale" directory from updates?
or something else that i missing ?

best and thank you :)

thanks for the link! :)

For the user who installed Pidgin, the language selected during installation will be the default.
in liberkey case there isnt any installation.

now going to system's "Environment Variables" for adding a portable's application LangSet it is not a solution.

pidgin should have "lang settings" to its main prefs.
like most of the other programs

I agree.
In the same page about Portable Mode, like you, they suppress the other languages.

Hello noaven.

The management of Pidgin by the LiberKey Portabilizer was improved with the publication of the version 2.7.2 .

You can now choose your language by adding a parameter to your shortcut.
Syntax:
Code: Select all
/pidginlang=Language

Example:
Code: Select all
/pidginlang=en_GB
