[Solved] How copy an portable app LiberKey?

Postby Dirki » 09 February 2016, 16:25

Is it enough to just copy the program folder of a portable app containing all of the program files to the program folder located in LiberKey, here \LiberKey\Apps?

So e.g. if I want to copy / move a portable Firefox with all of my settings from any location to LiberKey I would copy / move the Firefox' program folder with all of its files to this folder in this (sub) folder of LiberKey: \LiberKey\Apps\Firefox\App\Firefox? And before I copy / move the new / other Firefox to LiberKey I would remove the entire Firefox program folder with all of its content from LiberKey, is that correct?

No, you have to take both app and data folders, along with the rest of the liberkey tools and files. If you want a "standalone" portable firefox folder, go for a portableapps package.

Hello,

If you want to use Firefox portable outside the LiberKey, you must create a folder where you copy these two folders :
"Firefox" & "LiberKeyPortabilizer".

\LiberKey\Apps\Firefox
\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\LiberKeyPortabilizer

That's the right way: copy those two folders to the same location

Alright, thank you very much, I will do it that way(s).

I assume, this procedure (to copy an app to LiberKey and use it there) is applicably for all of the programs used in LiberKey, e.g. it is the same with Thunderbird, Ditto, Aimp, Search Everything, etc.

Many thanks again.
