[Solved] Merging 2 LiberKey installations

Postby kokbira » 13 December 2011, 03:27

I had 2 Liberkey folders (A and B) in an Windows installation, so I used a software to merge folders.

Now I have all Liberkey apps in A, but some of them are only accessible from "Search on Liberkey" bar - the shortcuts are missing. I tried to merge \LiberKeyTools\LiberKeyMenu\data\Menu\default.xml between A and B, but no success (Liberkey erases my modifications restoring old A file).

Is there an way to do it automatically? I know that if I copy an app folder to MyApps, on Liberkey menu an folder button appears that informs about new app detected and create a shortcut for it when pressed. But it does not appears for my case - or I can make it appears???

I think what you're looking for is :
- go to "LiberKey tools" / "Manage Applications" / "Add / Remove programs"
- in the "Manage Portable Applications" window, select "Add Applications" / From Apps folder""

It will then check for new application in the Apps folder.

This feature detects .exe files in first level subfolder (only) of Apps folders. This is the same for MyApps folder.

exemple of an application NOT detected:
Liberkey/MyApps/MyApplication/bin/myexe.exe
