Is it something like "Cache Cleaner" ???

If yes it will be cool because the last update of Cache Cleaner was back to 2005
So a + from me :)

Do we really need a software like this nowadays? I used RAM Booster with Windows 98 and 192Mb RAM. But now I have XP with 3GB.

I have 8GB of RAM and very often i need to empty the cache because im working with huge orchestral sample pack (music production) that really NEEDS ram ...

so any time i need to re-load a different full sample pack into the ram.. i need a cleanup before ...

even if i clean 300mb's
for me it will be 2 more full instruments

it is not only for people with 100 year old computers that cry for performance

Which OS are you using and what daw /sequencer ? Is it 64bit since 32bit does not address RAM beyond 4GB ?

I am asking since I am planning to switch to Windows Seven but I think still many of the vsti/vst plugins are not fully compatible with Windows seven.

This is certainly a good suggestion. Simple video editing, photo cropping and even simply just watching HD videos might slow down the computer, which happens to me ALOT! Thus I really like the idea of clearing and cleaning the cache. Sounds so right to me! :)

Also have a look at Cleanmem http://www.pcwintech.com/cleanmem it is a very small program that will work differently to other such RAM optimization methods, and may be more effective also. There is a very technical explanation to how it works, and with no interface, there is no translational problems ether
