Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateI cannot update to the latest version 5.1.0218 (I have 5.1.0201), even if I download manually the patch file. I get the error "An error occurred during data decompression !" issued by LKPatcher v.0.2.95
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateHello
I have the same problem on one computer and no problem on an other computer. Both computers are wirh Windows XP Pro
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateHello bombur and texaveryfun,
can you give us the technical information about your Liberekey. you can copy / paste it from "LiberKey Tools" / "Configuration" / "technical information" I wonder if 7zip was not removed from the directory of the installer..
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateHello,
Please find the technical data :
And the list of files in Installer directory
Thank you in advance for your support
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updatehumm.. 7-zip is here and appears to be ok.
Have you tried several times when the error occurs ? (with the "Retry" button) Sometimes some programs are still running when the first attempt to extract begins. There is probably a running program, or folder / file opened by Windows or an application. Make sure no program is accessing the contents of the folder "LiberKeyTools" and click "Retry".
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateHello,
I try to update and click around 20 times "Retry" without succes. Always the same problem. I've checked the directory LiberKeyTools with unlocker and during the update process the directory is not locked by any software or process.
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateThank you for this test very good test, no more doubt. So I go back to 7-zip .. - could you check if a folder "lbk_2011xxxxxxx_MultiLng" is in your temporary folder? (you can easily open the temporary folder executing %temp% ) - is there a special configuration on the management of short file names? => Can you tell us the answer to this command (via cmd.exe) : "fsutil behavior query disable8dot3"
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateHello
There is no folder "Lbk_2011xxxxx_MultiLng" in %temp% directory
Answer : 1 8.3 Name is disable
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateHello
disable8dot3 = 1 on both computers ? Did you try to temporary switch off your antivirus ?
Re: Error from LKPatcher when decompressing an updateHello,
I'm not at home, I can't check my private computer. I switched off my antivirus "Kapersky". It still doesn't work. For sure something on my computer is blocking the update. Update Normaly on my profressional computer I am logged as User with administrative rights. I tried to update liberkey with Administratour account, super it's work. Now my Liberkey is updated Thank you
