update of chrome 28.0.1500.71Auto update doesn't want to do start update of Chrome 28.0.1500.71.
At present I have installed Chrome 27.0.1453.94. All programs update normally and stops on chrome update. What I can do? Is it any chrome file corrupted?
Re: update of chrome 28.0.1500.71Hello.
Have you try a direct download of these version of Chrome? You can use these link : Google_Chrome_28.0.1500.71.lks. When you have saved the lks' file on your computer, you can lauch the update simply with a drag and drop on the menu logo. JP4U
Re: update of chrome 28.0.1500.71I download Chrome but drag and drop doesn't work for me as it is working for you. I can't drop on the menu logo.
Re: update of chrome 28.0.1500.71Hello.
Could you verify if in \Liberkey\Apps you have file(s) like this : Chrome_Failed_2013-07-25_09-52-07 (date and time depends of your updates). Could you also test if other updates except Chrome works normally (you can use classic update and drag and drop of lks apps after download). It's possible a Liberkey tools' file is corrupted after your problem. For some of them there are backup files, but I don't know now where is the problem exactly and have to try reproduce the problem. Re: update of chrome 28.0.1500.71Thanks for help.
1. In \Liberkey\Apps doesn't exist any Chrome_Failed file 2. Auto update working normally for all others files. And update is done for all my apps at present. 3. I can't try update by drag and drop because all of them are updated except chrome. I download CDBurnerXP_4.5.2.4214.lks (already installed and updated on my liberkey) and drug and drop doesn't work. I download Ant_Movie_Catalog_4.1.0.2.lks (not installed on my liberkey) and drug and drop doesn't work. Looks drag and drop doesn't work at all for my liberkey.
Re: update of chrome 28.0.1500.71Good evening.
Thanks for your tests. Could you sent me a copy of your technical informations : in the menu Liberkey Tools => Configuration => technical informations => Copy the information to the clipboard Liberkey closed, make a copy of L:\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\Installer\LKInst.xml (L is the drive's letter of your Liberkey). L:\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\LiberKeyMenu\data\update.xml L:\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\LiberKeyMenu\LiberKeyMenu.xml L:\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\KeyFileAssoc\KeyFileAssoc.xml Now, open LKInst/xml and modify the line LogToFile
Change no by yes like this:
Save it and reload Liberkey. When you have downloaded lks files, what happens when you have a double click on them ? What happens when you drag and drop directly them on L:\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\Installer\LkInst.exe ? Now you can found log files in L:\LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\Installer\log\ . Not sure, but it's possible update.xml, LiberkeyMenu.xml or KeyFileAssoc.xml are corrupted. For LiberkeyMenu.xml and KeyFileAssoc.xml you can found backup files in bak directory in LiberkeyMenu and in KeyFileAssoc. Liberkey closed, rename the files, copy one of the backupfile to replace the file you want to test then restart your Liberkey and retry the updates. If you found where is the problem, could you send me a copy of the file(s). You can contact me by sending me private message or for more facility to join files by mail at replace_by_my_pseudo@liberkey.com Thanks. JP4U
Re: update of chrome 28.0.1500.71Answer send you to your private email.
I did everything as you advice. Google chrome is installed now but drag and drop on LiberKey menu still not working. Thanks.
Re: update of chrome 28.0.1500.71Good evening.
I've received your mail. Thanks. I've began tests with your configuration files with no problem for the moment. But it's a problem with one or more liberkey tools (.exe) in your configuration : you have error in the number version of your key except for 7-zip. For example you have in your technical informations : LiberKey Inst - 1.2.0.136 - Installer\LkInst.exe ; but normal version number is 1.2.136 LiberKey Menu - 5.7.0.18 - LiberKeyMenu\LiberKeyMenu.exe ; but number version is 5.7.18 ... I' don't understand why you have these modifications. A corruption of file(s) can have occurred when you have your problem with the chrome update. Perhaps it is the reason you can't use direct drag and drop for updates. Can you install (after have close your usual Liberkey) a new Liberkey in another folder on your PC with a file comparison tool like Winmerge or Kdiff3. Test it for drag and drop lks on the menu 's logo. Can you also compare Liberkey.exe in your usual Liberkey and in the one you have just installed. compare too LKInst.exe ; compare KeyFileAssoc.exe; LiberKeyMenu.exe ; LiberKeyPortabilizer.exe ; LKAppsClose.exe ; lkAppsVCheck.exe ; LkDiskEjector.exe ; LkEject.exe ; WAK.exe . If you find one or more differences in the .exe can you send me. In advance thanks. JP4U
Re: update of chrome 28.0.1500.71A reinstallation of the Liberkey would solve the issues

Test it for drag and drop lks on the menu 's logo. Done. Installed Winmerge by Drag and drop, working fine. (Comparation done by Winmerge with default settings) Can you also compare Liberkey.exe in your usual Liberkey and in the one you have just installed. They are identical compare too LKInst.exe ; They are identical compare KeyFileAssoc.exe; They are identical LiberKeyMenu.exe ; They are identical LiberKeyPortabilizer.exe ; They are identical LKAppsClose.exe ; They are identical lkAppsVCheck.exe ; They are identical LkDiskEjector.exe ; They are identical LkEject.exe ; They are identical WAK.exe . They are identical If you find one or more differences in the .exe can you send me. In advance thanks. JP4U No any difference has been found. Can I do new Liberkey installation over old one as Dji advice?
