[Solved] lbk links doesn't works with Google Chrome

Postby katun79 » 25 March 2014, 00:21

I guys

I'm having a strange issue with Google Chrome and Liberkey: I can't install any new app from the catalog using the lbk link in the page.
With IE or Firefox every app is installed smoothly, only Google Chrome has this issue.

I have a fresh install of Windows 8 (updated to 8.1).
Liberkey is 5.7.0620 version and It's installed in C:\liberkey.
I have no problems with integrated updates, only with new installs from catalog and only if I'm using Google Chrome.
I installed the latest dev version of Google Chrome (35.0.1897.2 dev-m), but this issue appears also with the Chromium portable version 35.0.1889.0 (256914).
With Google Chrome portable version 33.0.1750.149 I was able to fix this issue when the popup appears and It let me chose to open lbk links.

On installed version of Chrome I didn't saw the popup with the selection for lbk links.
How can I force Installed Chrome to open lbk links again with the correct program?

Thanks for now.

KeyFileAssoc is not working very well on Windows 8/8.1, sorry.
We are looking for a fix, but this not so easy to keep portability on this environment

Issue resolved!!! :D
I had the same problem with gogdownloader from http://www.gog.com, so I googled around and I found this post: http://www.gog.com/support/support_view/registering_the_gog_downloader_in_common_browsers

I added to Local State file under C:\Users\<MY USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\ in protocol_handler section this line:

"lbk": false,

and now any link in catalog works! B)
