Hello everybody,

...the last version i used was 4.7 on my stick, everything works well.
Now 4.8 is out, i formatted my stick & installed 4.8...now nothing works under my Ubuntu...no application starts and all other things like updating software and so on goes.


Any idea what you have changed since 4.7 what causes this failures ???


PS.: ...the only thing that works is starting LiberKey, then i see the Trayicon and the LiberKey-Windows opens !!!

Liberkey were never supported under Linux but, in your particular case, the most relevant change i see is the LiberkeyPortabilizer which changed drastically between 4.7 and 4.8

...thank you for the fast answer, is there any way to change that to keep it running again or can i try something else ???

Keep using release 4.7

...and the new version 5.0 also can't run under Ubuntu (meanwhile 10.04) !!! Very sad situation, there must be a way (solution) to use it, what have you changed since 4.7, that now it dosen't work please help me.

I am thinking that if you continue to use the version 4.7 but you upgrade the individual software it might still work. try this and let me know because this is useful information. I have never actually tried liberkey under linux since I just assumed it would not work and I only recently started using liberkey anyway. but let's know how it turns out please. (don't have a copy of 4.7 just now)

...now I see that 4.9 also runs on Ubuntu, but he asks for an update to 5.0 !!! When I click NO, 4.9 still works but the excellent update-feature dosn't work on 4.9...shit...!!!
Is it not possible to get 4.9 running with this great update-feature for the software ??? What have you changed since 4.9, that 5.0 dosn't run anymore ??? Very sad situation for me....
