Re-start LiberKey: how to avoid starting apps already openedHow can I avoid after re-starting LiberKey, that already running applications will be opened twice or more, so e.g. FreeCommander is already running, I close LiberKey, start LiberKey and a second, third window of FreeCommander will be opened or Ditto / Networx etc. are shown more than one in the system tray.

Re: Re-start LiberKey: how to avoid starting apps already opDo you use aSuite (v4.9) or LiberkeyMenu (v5.0 beta) ?
If you use the old menu (Asuite) : Even if the option exists, aSuite does not know very well about running processes and can't prevent from running some of them because of *LKL.exe => *.exe exe translations. If you use the new menu, it won't occurs anymore if you use inside menu shortcuts (but won't works if you use shortcuts from desktop for instance) "Si boire des coups, aller au concert ou au match, ça devient un combat

Re: Re-start LiberKey: how to avoid starting apps already opThank you Dji.
v4.9 I use.
Okay, so it is not possible when using v4.9. But what for is "Only if no previous instances are running" in "Autoexecute" "Advanced" "Poperties"?
Okay, when I start applications from the tray or desktop it cannot be avoided, but when I (re-)start LiberKey it will be avoided (and when I open an application in the LiberKey menu), no instance will be opened more than once. Re: Re-start LiberKey: how to avoid starting apps already opThis is why so much softwares implements option "only running one instance" (like process explorer, etc)
This is also why "autostart" were developped by skybird "Si boire des coups, aller au concert ou au match, ça devient un combat
Alors tremblez, terroristes ! Parce qu'on est surentraînés !" @glecalot
Re: Re-start LiberKey: how to avoid starting apps already opI beg you pardon, I do not quite understand...

Re: Re-start LiberKey: how to avoid starting apps already opSome softwares implements a functionality to prevent user to run the software multiple times.
Sometimes, it can be deactivated/activated under software options panel (like process explorer) sometimes this is "automatic" (like netsetman, main options panel is opened when it starts again). As I said to you before, Asuite were not a sufficient solution for integrating Liberkey applications as it cannot know that all *LKL.exe shortcuts specified in their configuration files owing to corresponding final running *.exe in the process list. Consequently, the option does not work "as expected for users" but this is "normal for us": it never worked for Liberkey applications due to the software design. This is one of the reasons why we have a new menu. If you still wants to use the old menu, try to use autostart developped by skybird (in french and no more developed/maintained as the new menu has implemented 90% of its functionalities) "Si boire des coups, aller au concert ou au match, ça devient un combat
Alors tremblez, terroristes ! Parce qu'on est surentraînés !" @glecalot

Unfortunately I do not understand French very good...but, when the new menu is coming soon, I will wait...is it recommended to use the beta version at this time? And how could I install it? Clicking "Check new LiberKey release" doesn't show the beta version. Nice greetings, Dirk Windows 10 Version 6.2 (Build 9200) Home, 64bit

Re: Re-start LiberKey: how to avoid starting apps already opYou can try beta by following the following topic:
viewtopic.php?f=53&t=3691 Just to be 200% sure not loosing anything (even if no people encountered such issues), you can backup the Asuite.xml file from Liberkey\Apps\Asuite folder and apply the patch. The old menu will be imported into the new one and any changes into the new menu will be reflected into the old one. You will have also the possibility to use the old or the new menu at startup or to switch definitively to the old or new menu by configuration (read following posts in the topic) "Si boire des coups, aller au concert ou au match, ça devient un combat
Alors tremblez, terroristes ! Parce qu'on est surentraînés !" @glecalot
Re: Re-start LiberKey: how to avoid starting apps already opOkay, that sounds absolutely great,
So I guess I will try it the way you describe and may be the error message mentioned in another posting then will not appear anymore. Many thanks for your help, nice greetings, Dirk Windows 10 Version 6.2 (Build 9200) Home, 64bit
