It seems there is a problem in your context for the rebuilding of file associations.

This hive is locked on the machine I have performed the update on. The associations update may work on another machine the way you expect it to. I don't know.

But in KFA interface, if you see "lbkinst, LAL, LKS, 7Zip" and that you have other applications (from LiberKey catalog) which have pre-configured associations but not restored: there is a problem.

The shortcut of Lkinst.exe in your quicklaunch is no more needed. A feature for installation of .lks by drag-n-drop has been added
