Gimp won't start after download.
Posté: 19 Décembre 2010, 20:06I have downloaded Gimp and tried to open the program. It will not open and displays the message: "The application failed to initialize properly (0x000001d)." I have downloaded it twice and both times it has done the same thing.
Can anyone help?

Try to uninstall it before reinstall.

What is your OS ?
Can you try to launch gimp in "verbose" mode.
In LiberKeyMenu, right click on the shortcut Gimp, "Shortcut properties...", tab "Advanced",
in "Parameters" put --verbose , apply then launch Gimp.
A windows console should appear. What is contents when the crash occurs ?

Posté: 20 Décembre 2010, 19:02My OS is Vista Home Premium. I put --verbose in the perimeters as you suggested. I clicked apply and then tried to open Gimp. The same message as stated above appeared again.
