[Solved] Patch : "The LiberKey is not running"Hope this is the correct place to post this:
I've changed the file as instructed above, and selected the beta channel. once I started LiberKey, it informed me that an update is available, and I approved it to continue. the progress bar completed, and then an LKPatcher v0.2.76 pops up with the following message "The LiberKey is not running. Would you like to select its folder manually ?" I will wait with selecting the folder manually so you can try and address this issue. See the screenshot below for clarity. My configuration:
Thanks in advance for this great application, site and community.
Re: Beta channel opens for LiberKeyHello Lockszmith.
Since your build is 0906 you will have two requests of update. The first for the build 0921 (mentioned in your feedback) (latest public), the second for the build 0924 (latest beta) What happens during the update from 0921 to 0924 ? Same behavior of LKPatcher ?
Re: Beta channel opens for LiberKeyHi skybird, thanks for your quick reply.
After reading your reply, the first thing I did was look for the "two requests" you mentioned. I closed LiberKey, then relaunched it, and once I opened the menu I got the update message:
Once I approved, the file that was downloaded was "%TEMP%\lbk_20100921150151_MultiLng.exe" (I used Process Explorer to identify the file). And this had the same behavior as I mentioned before. I did not receive another request for update, and if I check from the LiberKey tools menu, I get the same update (and only one). Of course if it is of no "major interest" I can try the manual selection and disregard the issue as a fluke, I'm postponing in the case that you want to investigate further.
Re: Beta channel opens for LiberKey
I forgot to mention that is a step by step. Update to build 0924 can't be found if you are not in 0921. Continue with a manual selection for the first patch. We will can see if all new patches have this problem or just the first.
[Solved]
OK I am so ashamed, it was my fault after all - the LiberKey.exe launcher from the root folder was missing. My shrotcut for lunching the LiberKey Menu was pointing to the menu executable and no the root launcher, so I hadn't noticed it was missing. Once I placed the launcher in root, the updated worked flawlessly. The beta channel is now installed. Sorry for the hassle, and thanks for your support.
