[Solved] Cannot Install Google Chrome

I cannot install Google Chrome nor Chromium.

I have the latest Liberkey and file association is enabled. When trying to install, I got a message that said, "An error occurred during the installation of this application !" When I get passed that error box, I press "Install this application on my Liberkey." Another screen says it is "Verifying installation package" and then says "Saving actual version." A second error occurs, which states verbatim "An error occurs while trying to rename the application folder. Check that the app is not running and that no file are open in the application folder."

I'm running regular Windows 7. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Did you run Liberkey with administrative rights ?

Hello Justino, it seems like you have the same problem like me before, maybe you would like to take a look on my thread.

It is possible that your directory leading to Liberkey contains special characters or simply, characters that the Liberkey suit doesn't like.

Well, taking a look at my thread will give you some insight. :)

Thanks for the response. I run the program at startup with admin rights. Just to make sure, I closed the program and started it (by running as an administrator) and again it gave the same errors. Also, I was experimenting and trying to install other programs, and I got the same error messages. So it does not seem to be related to just Chrome.

Dji, I have liberykey at the default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\LiberKey\Apps).

Try to move Liberkey folder to the root of your hard drive

Thanks. I moved it to the root. The program installed correctly. Would you recommend making this a permanent change and, if so, what registry entries should I change?

There is no existing registry entry, you can install wherever you want, well except under some 64bits systems
