Browser Unresponsive

Messagede Lostoutwest1 » 10 Juin 2011, 02:31

I downloaded 2 browser apps to my jumpstick onto Liberkey and tried to use them on my 64 bit Win 7 Home premium.... (1) Google Chrome... it was unresponsive... so I downloaded (2nd) browser - Chromium.... same thing... a splash comes up and says the new tab is unresponsive... there are options to kill or wait... either option gets no happy...

_checked the tools and about chrome... where it says update server is unavailable... which could be for a multitude of reasons... I'm thinking a bug?

-Downloaded and tried Opera from the stick where Liberkey is installed and was a sizzling success launching on the Win 7 64 bit...

-I tried the stick and liberkey browser apps on an XP Pro 32 bit machine I have........ and they work fine....

-Went bacK to win 7 and set up a Firewall rule to allow Google Chrome... no happy.

-Downloaded flash on win 7 for plugin style... No happy.

-Re-installed flash... no help!

-Downloaded Google Chrome from google and installed on the Win 7 64 bit machine... works great...

Any ideas what the problem is? Is there anyone else having problems with the browser apps?

May be it will help you because I faced a similar problem.
It was on my professionnal computer with WINDOWS XP SP3 where I'm logged as limited user.

I launch Liberley with Administrator rights

I am not able to use either chrome either chromium when I launch them through Liberkey Menu.
Chrome is launched but I can't access to Web-page or Options page.

When I launch chrome with the file explorer, as limited user, it works fine. I select the file ChromiumLKL.exe.

Something is due to user rights.

I hope it will help you to find a solution.
