The 4.7 update advises that:

Portable Desktop Shortcuts can be configured (save Desktop / QuickLaunch Shortcuts)

I cannot seem to find any configuration options for portable shortcuts. Please can you advise where the portable shortcuts configuration can be found.

it's for the moment a manually configuration in PDS.xml to configure only desktop, only quicklaunch or both

Yes, still manual configuration.

Please have a look on the LiberkeyTools\PDS\PDS.xml configuration file and in particular XML tags <ProcessDesktopShortcuts/> and <ProcessQuickLaunchShortcuts/>
