We just make available the new Platform 5.0.
It is based on the last menu LiberKey 5.0.100 beta. We consider it stable enough to be able to integrate it in this Platform.

We have activated a part of the code already built into this new menu to introduce a new feature: the installation of Basic, Standard and Ultimate suites directly from the Platform.

The main advantage of this feature is to save you a lot of time. Indeed, the download of a setup (e.g. LiberKey Utimate) automatically generates, just after installation, the updating of many applications (in fact, all those available since the generation of that setup). This became an increasingly important issue given the pace of updates that we offer.

The Platform 5.0 solves this problem. After installation, at first launch, you are proposed to download a choice of suites. The advantage of this solution is very simple: you automatically download the latest versions of applications, no need to update!
And to further optimize the setup time, an application downloaded from the Platform is installed immediately while the others are downloading and so on. You can even start using the software that appear in the menu while your suite is not yet completely downloaded / installed!

The concept goes even further: you can, for example, install the Basic suite. You may, soon after, consider that you needed a Standard or an Ultimate. Just confirm this new choice and the system automatically recognizes the software already installed. It will simply add the missing applications to complete your Basic. If, in the future, x applications are added to a suite (e.g. LiberKey Utimate), simply restart the installation of Ultimate and the x new applications will be added automatically.

The new LiberKey Platform 5.0 is available in the download section.

Technical information:
- The first launch offers a wizard to download either Basic, Standard or Ultimate suite. You may ignore it if you plan to configure your own LiberKey from the catalog
- You can at any time, get back to this wizard by going to "LiberKey Tools" => "Manage portable applications" => Add Applications => Install an application suite

Important information for LiberKey 4.9 users:
The Platform 5.0 is designed for new installations. But you can simply migrate to this new Platform: see this topic.
