More power full than Google Desktop

Everything is fantastic. It is very very fast.

It has a few limitations:

1. It will only work on NTFS volumes, not FAT32.

2. It will not search network drives.

3. It is not a desktop search tool like Google Desktop - it only searches for file NAMES, not content.

Locate32 (http://www.locate32.net) will search FAT32 and NTFS volumes and also network drives, but is not as fast as Everything. It can also be portable. It only searches for file names.

I totally agree ! I use Everything both on my personal and work computer, it's very fast when searching (almost instantaneous ) and indexes drives very quickly : at home, I have a 1To external drive, Everythink took maybe 30s to index it, and voila, I could search in
I recommand this software, natively portable, as Lockszmith said.

I'll chime in with my vote for this. I already run it as one of MyApps anyway. Deep-content searches are nice, but file name searching is still powerful enough for many purposes, and Everything search is bar none the fastest search tool.
