Ever since I updated LiberKey to 4.7 (some 2 weeks ago), update applications check is not working. LiberKey Apps Version Checker 1.3.145 gives this message:

An error occurred while trying to recover LiberKey updates application informations. Do you have access to internet on this compture.

On the other hand, LiberKey update check returns that there is no update available. I use Windows 7 64bit version, and I had no problems before. Also, the same thing is happening on 3 different LiberKey installations I have, all started after 4.7 update.

Is there a way to fix the applicated updater?

I was getting this error when I was using LiberKey 4.5.

But after retrying few times it used to get connected. I had a slower connection (144Kbps) - but since I upgraded to broadband it got solved.

I have 8Mbit broadband, so it's not that. Update is failing for the last 2 weeks, and that happens on 3 different computers and networks configurations. I am pretty sure that the problem is with Liberkey.

Do you have a firewall or a security suite which control applications internet accesses ? (avira, bitdefender, kaspersky, etc)

Please also double check your proxy and account settings in Liberkey configuration (you can remove account settings)

That's the first thing I checked, but it's all ok. My system configuration is not changed for months, and problem started right after 4.7 update. And on one of the computers that I have with the same problem, there is no firewall or other security suite that can cause problems. And I don't use any proxy.

Where did you deploy the Liberkey folder ? Please try to use drive root (not in a subfolder)

Try also to run Liberkey using administrative rights (Run As)

I am running the same installation of LiberKey from same location well over a year now, and during that time nothing is changed in the system. Liberkey is in the root of the drive, UAC in W7 is disabled and even if I set to run as administrator nothing is changed. As I said before, all this started after 4.7 update, nothing else in the system changed. And there are 3 different installations on 3 different computers that have the same problem, all 3 were affected just after 4.7 update.

Is there a way to install some newer update to rewrite the update checker installation or something like that?

Yes, you can try to copy Liberkey exe files (LiberkeyTools and sub folders) from Liberkey Platform

Just in case, please make a backup your LiberkeyTools, Asuite and KeyFileAssoc folders

OK, I installed Platform over my LiberKey and backed up all files. And when I run the LiberKey, update works (liberkey and apps). And than I performed LiberKey update, and apps update is not working anymore! I than run liberkey update again, and that's working and I get message that I have latest version. There is something wrong with the update.

You don't have any firewall/antivirus ?

Another idea before accepting the updates: please close all Liberkey applications (even Firefox). Please ensure having Asuite, KeyFileAssoc or LiberkeyPortabilizer processes closed before accepting the updates (just keep running LiberkeyCreator).
