well now im starting to feel stupid. the updates screen comes up goes through downloading each update then hides while installing the updates as it should. finishes and says download complete but when i launch utorrent it says there is an update. i checked the version and its v2.0 build 18488 thats not the new updated version. am i missing something simple here?

Check if you have folder like Liberkey\Apps\uTorrent_<today's_date>

Check content but I think you can replace the old files with the new ones

no its dated for the 10th and i did it today which is the 18th. its also the older utorrent file. its not just utorrent its all the updates for apps. there was about 12 or so that were available for updating.

So, you don't have two uTorrent folders ?

Did you try to run LiberKey\LiberKeyTools\LKAppsVCheck\LKAppsVCheck.exe as administrator ?

yes i have two utorrent folders(the apps main folder then another), they both are the same dates 3/10/2010 v2.0 18488 which is the older version.
i tried what you said about running as administrator. no luck i even did a reboot and tried again. it does the update procedure. within a min. the updates come back up to update with all the same updates.

For help us to resolve these problem, could you say us
- your Windows version, if it's a 32 or 64 bits with UAC active or not ;
- Where you have installed your Liberkey, for example : hard disk (E:\liberkey);
- The name and the version of your firewall and your antivirus.

- windows xp pro 32bit with SP3 installed
- liberkey installed on usb flash drive E:/Liberkey
- Windows firewall
- AVG 9.0.791 free home edition

i have updated liberkey apps before with no problems. i haven't changed anything although i have installed programs and deleted some off my desktop. thank you for your help

I also have XP pro 32bit with SP3 - with hotfixes and updates till date. And after updating to 4.8 I have no problem with the software updates of LiberKey. Its working like charm.

ahh still unable to update successfully ive tried from my laptop to update with the same results as on the desktop. i have added other portable apps to liberkey. however i did place them in the my software and my apps category.
when i update liberkey it runs through the downloads then when it goes to apply the updates closes liberkey as it should. in the icon tray i see it speed through each icon for the updates. within less then a min. it says update complete.
the updates did not apply.

I'm quite sure this is related to AVG or windows firewall, did you tried to desactivate them during download and install ?
