LiberKey 5.7.0530 version since 4 weeks does not update some of the programs. What is wrong?

Whether it is vaction or not, it is very bad, that there are no updates for weeks.
It seems, that there is only one person, who is responsable for liberkey and if he isn't there, nothing happens.

Liberkey is a good program, but only if the updates come everytime.
I don't like portableapps.com as much as liberkey, but the updates came always.
So I think, I will change to portableapps.com.

I came looking to see if I had inadvertently changed a setting so I wasn't getting updates, or if there was a bug in the latest version that kept you from getting updates. I see that neither is the case. I too hope this isn't an indication of the end of LiberKey. But after a month, I begin to fear the worst.

Portableapps is much better than it used to be. I run both liberkey and portableapps side by side on my drive so that I get the best of both. I've done that for a few years, since back before liberkey made their own apps portable and used to use portableapps' apps and the native portable versions of things like ccleaner with asuite as the menu. I used to use a few winpenpack, framakey and lupo pensuite apps, but none of them update well or work well anymore. Most of the time now, I use portableapps' apps as they just seem to work better with less bugs and more frequent updates and just fire up liberkey for an app that only it has and portableapps doesn't. But there's only a few apps that I do that for now and I don't use them that much.

I think liberkey is more of a hobby project than portableapps is, that may be one reason portableapps' apps are always more up to date. I also like that portableapps has no ads flashing at you.

My job includes security of software to prevent system vulnerabilities and exploits. Many of the available portable applications from Liberkey are now completely outdated and contain significant vulnerabilities. I do not work for Liberkey, but I feel it is my duty to warn users that continued use of Liberkey applications which contain vulnerabilities may allow for hackers and malicious code to run on your system(s). Attempts to contact developers have gone unanswered. I doubt there's anyone whose even checking anymore.

Though I post on this forum personally, and not representing my actual employer, I believe users should know how critical software vulnerabilities are on systems. I highly recommend anyone reading this to heed the warning in the fact that the author is absent and development has ceased. I also recommend the complete removal of Liberkey and any/all Portable applications on your system. An alternative is available at portableapps.com. Developers there continue current development on portable apps, unlike Liberkey, which abandoned their user base months ago.

If you choose to continue using Liberkey, please begin scanning your system for viruses daily or more anytime you use Liberkey applications with Internet access.
