Installing new apps problem

Postby xtrem » 11 December 2009, 07:07

I selected the apps from the website and the application apparently downloaded and installed them, I can see them inside my Apps directory, but they are not showing up in the LiberKey Menus. Is there some kind of update function?

Could you please check if they are present in the file LiberKey\Apps\Asuite\Asuite.xml or one of the Asuite.xml.bak files ?

You can also use the tab "Search"

They are not in any of the .xml files and I can't find the programs in search either

Hi xtrem.

Where is located your Liberkey's folder (full path) ?

If you try to write something in Asuite.xml, does the change is saved ?
If it's not the case, check your access permissions and "ready only" flag.

My folder is located in my G: drive, which is my removable drive.

None of the .xml's were read-only

And with trying to add a new category in "My Softwares" for example ? (right click >> add category)
(quit and restart your Liberkey to check if the modification is saved or not)

It's quite the same problem that i'm facing with seven.
Applications are available physically and in the ASuite.xml file.
The only difference is that in this xml file the Pathcache element is not defined for the invisible applications.
How to build the cache icon?
Is there an issue with folder rights?

Thxs for your help.
It's frustrating not to be able to add new applications!
Please help us!

Please try to disactivate the cache of ASuite (menu -> Options -> Advanced -> disactivate cache)

I have exactly the same problem.

When I install something new it's in the xmlf file but not shown in the menu and when I restart it's gone from the xml file.
