Hello,

When I try to install Format Factory for example, a zip file, the creator tells
me to choose an application...well there is none it's a zip file. So, how do I
proceed with this installation to get thru to the actual install process.

Do I really need to download before installation. How do I get the application
in the choose application screen then, the directory to choose from is on my
hard drive where I installed liberkey ?

thanks,

Where did you found this "zip file" ?

Can you do a screenshot of this step, please ?

The zip file came from the link to Format Factory on your website.
Screenshot - I'm not on the computer presently so it will take some time.
Thanks for the reply.

It shouldn't be a ".zip" file, it should be a ".lks" file.

Do you use a web proxy or something similar between your web browser and internet ? That could be the reason of such behavior.**

Anyway, did you activate file associations ("Activate File associations", aka KeyFileAssoc) as explained in format Factory download page ?

If yes and if you still have this strange behavior, as a workaround solution : try to rename your .zip into .lks and double clic on it (still let File associations activated before double-clic)

Hello,

The proxy is set to automatic and I usually use wifi, so that shouldn't matter.
File associations are activated.
The screen that pops up is asking for an application not a zip file.
I'm thinking the problem is installing LiberKey on the c: hard drive instead of the
flash drive. If installed on the flash drive would this problem not occur ?

Thanks,

So why did you spoke about a zip file ?

I think you misconfigured your web browser which bypass KeyFileAssoc settings.

Try to look around them and remove any file or protocol associations.

On the flash drive it is installing OK today. What exactly should I look for if it
will not install from the C: drive.

Have a look on the Firefox option window and particularly "lbkinst" or "lks" associations :
