LiberKey File Association not working at all (after reformatHello,
I have been a LiberKey user for half a year now and I used File Association quite often.. but I did not wonder much on how it worked. It just did and I never played with its configuration. Now I had to format and restore a Windows 8 installation. Liberkey was installed on a different partition, so when I did run it again there were no problems in running programs themselves. The problem I have is with File Association. They simply don't work. When Association is disabled, windows uses its default programs. When Association is enabled (Liberkey is running) everything keeps the same. Even if in configuration everything is set up properly! I went also in the control panel to check if file associations had changed but nothing has. For example: HTML files are associated to Internet Explorer. After I activate FileAssoc, windows asks me with which program open it. It does not make sense since HTML files are associated to Google Chrome in FileAssoc configuration! Another example: JPG files are associated to windows default visualizer. After I activate FileAssoc, windows keeps opening the default visualizer, even if JPG is associated to IrfanView in FileAssoc configuration! I even tried to run FileAssoc as admin but no luck. What operations should I do to have FileAssociation working as they should?? Another question: when liberkey is closed (I mean it is not running anymore) does FileAssoc automatically restores file associations? Please help me this is driving me mad thank you
Re: LiberKey File Association not working at all (after refoUnfortunately, KFA File association support is partial under Windows 8/8.1, a software solution is already studied but not yet delivered.
