[Solved] Windows 7 64 bit - Can't update

Messagede bdmeyer » 14 Décembre 2009, 19:09

I tried a search in the forums for Windows 7, but was told that it is a common word... :-)
I was able to download and install to the default location no problem. When I try and update, I get what I assume are permission problems with each attempted update.

I am wondering if perhaps I should install to \Program Files\ for windows 7. Does anyone have experience with this?

BTW: I googled envoyer, and Apercu.
I have no idea which button means 'Enter' or Cancel'

Send (Apercu) I think.

Hello bdmeyer.

Can you precise your problem ?
Maybe some error message ?

Check the Liberkey's folder permissions or try to move this one to the root of your disk.

As you were registered before the forum's migration, your interface was in French.
Now, it should be in english.

When installed to a flash drive, mine seems to update fine. When I installed to my hard drive, I initially had this very same problem. I simply right-clicked on the LiberKey icon, and changed the properties so that it would RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. Now it runs perfectly and updates perfectly.

I'm trying to update my liberkey, and I tried your Run as Admin trick, but it does not work.

I get lbk_20110304052759_MultiLng.exe can't start because it is not 64-bit compatible.

This exe is located on AppData\Local\Temp of my user profile and I'm Administrator on this computer.

I'm running Win7 64-bit and I'm using LK 5.1.0218

is there a 64bit version of this patches?. Can the author expand the download page so it contains patches and updates instead of only the suites?

I'll take the chance to congratulate and thank the Liberkey author for this great tool, and to say that while I used 32-bit I had'n had any problems.

Hello,

The patch works on Win7 64bits. So your problem is elsewhere.

The offline patch page has been updated. Could you try with the offline version.

Hi,

I know that this problem is solved by the offline patches but all of us that have the problem, have to wait until the offline patch is posted which is a lot later than the on-line update. :-(

This is not nice... and I have to say it isn't nice either asking for solutions from the guys that gave us this great application for free. It just doesn't feel right.

Thank you very much for a great application....with or without off-line patches :reyes:

Hello dgaleano.

We work daily with Windows 7 64bit, patches and setups are tested on several configurations (XP/Vista/Seven/64bits/32bits), as said by Opendev your problem is not linked to Seven 64bits.

What is your antivirus ?
Can you send us or paste here your LiberKey Linktechnical information ?
