[Solved] Liberkey program and app updatesHi all,
I did a post a week ago regarding Liberkey not automatically popping up notice when started that there are updates. andromede_dc responded that there is a minimum of 12 hours between auto-updates, so I waited another day and it did pop up an applications update notice. I did the updates and all was well. This was several days ago. So, today when I started liberkey and did not get any update notice, I decided to check the Liberkey website. I found that there are indeed recent updates to a couple of apps I have. I then do a manual update check via the Tools menu, and it comes back saying there are not only app updates, but also a liberkey program update. I click on the Liberkey program update, and after a bit a window pops up to install the update... I am pretty sure that is what it is anyway, since the heading and buttons are all in French, and I do not read French. The info in the center of the window is in English, but even though I can probably guess as to which button is for installation, I figure I should check first and see if anyone knows what is up with this. I tried doing the app updates, but got a popup saying i have to do the program update first. I have checked the above for both the Liberkey on my HD and my flash drive, with the same results. Is it okay to go ahead and do the program update and see what happens? My liberkey is version 5.0 build 0906, set to English, and running on XP SP3. I have gotten program updates before and the update windows have been in English. Never argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.
Re: Liberkey program and app updatesHello Tropicalroo.
With the last update the language system of LiberKey has been improved : a common patch for all languages. The new patch detects OS language but it seems there is a problem in your context. From Control Panel >> Regional and Language Options >> tab Regional Options , what is your format ? Can you attach a screenshoot of the LkPatcher windows ?
The sentence "Appliquer la mise à jour" means "Apply the update"
Re: Liberkey program and app updatesI've been having the same issue and have had to use Google translate to work out what its asking me. (Running on Windows7, XPsp3 and XPsp2. All regional settings were set to English (UK).
Re: Liberkey program and app updatesAcorps,
Though I have neglected to write back in, my problem with this was resolved. There just has not been enough time in a day lately, so the next time after my original post that the Liberkey program update popped up, I went ahead and clicked the "Appliquer la mise à jour" button as noted in Skybird's response. Liberkey updated, and since then all update pop-up's have been in English for me as they should. Everything within Liberkey appears to work fine also, so as Skybird also noted, the update knew what language I was actually using even though that particular update pop-up was shown in French. If you have already done the above and are still having problems, hopefully Skybird or someone else will jump back in here and help. Good luck. Never argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.
