[Solved] Updates are available ... not working

The blue button with a red dot in the center tells me "Updates are available for your applications...", but when I click it, there seems to be some disk access for a while, but nothing happens.

If I go to "check for updates", it says "updates available: 44". Then, when I click "update my liberkey applications", the window disappears and nothing happens (there seems to be some HD access).

I can try it repeatedly and nothing happens. Shutting the computer down and trying again does not help either.

The the same thing happens both if a run it (from a pendrive) on my Acer 4750G with Windows 7 or on my Acer Aspireone D255E also with Windows 7. Same installation used to work on WIndows XP, but now I can not check if it still is, just to be sure if it has or not something to do with Windows 7.

anyway, updating is not working (for several days, now).

Hello FernandoCabral,

- Can you please copy/paste here the LiberKey Linktechnical information about your LiberKey

- we can try to obtain more info by activating the log file :
edit the file LiberKeyTools\LK AppsVCheck\lkAppsVCheck.xml
add the "LogToFile" tag with value "yes" like this:
Code: Tout sélectionner
<lbkAppsVCheck version="0.1">
   <LogToFile>yes</LogToFile>
... (your current configuration) ...
</lbkAppsVCheck>
Check again for application updates.
A folder named "LiberKeyTools\LKAppsVCheck\log" should appear. It will contain a log file per day. These files may contain some error information that could help us.

Problem: the file LKAppsVChek.xml does not exist. Instead, I found lkAppsVChck (no xml extension). It's contents is 16 kb of 0xFF. That's all I found.

Nevertheless, I found a file named likerkeymenu\log with the contents transcribed bellow.

yes it helps a lot!
your configuration files are corrupted.
you should replace these four files with fresh ones:
- LiberKeyTools\LKAppsClose\LKAppsClose.xml
- LiberKeyTools\LKAppsVCheck\LKAppsVCheck.xml
- LiberKeyTools\PDS\PDS.xml
- LiberKeyTools\LkDiskEjector\LkEject.xml
If you do not have another LiberKey you can install a new one just for taking these files. However, other files may be corrupted and other problems may appear.
